with the Mentally challenged children
There are two schools for
the mentally challenged children; one at Amritsar and another
in Chandigarh. Teaching, these children, playing with them
can be a enriching experience.
Teach
slum dwelling children
There is no limit to how you can help these children.
They are keen and eager to learn.
Schools
Schools for the normal children provide free education.
You could help in Computer education, dancing (they would
love to learn dances of your country), painting, singing,
or telling them about your country.
Play
Rooms
Pingalwara has activity rooms for after school
work outs. You could spend hours playing with the children.
Mentally challenged women/children
Pingalwara has more than
500 mentally challenged women/children. They would love your
company even for a few minutes.
Help the Hearing Impaired
School for the hearing impaired
provides you with opportunities of understanding the difficulties
of the deaf.
