Panjpeer (Jahajgarh) is one of the least developed area of Amritsar. The residents are mainly Gujratis who had settled down in this area more than 50 years back. The area was more of a garbage dump then a locality. Persistent efforts have chenged the face of the locality and major part of the efforts have come from the children themselves. With increasing awareness about cleanliness and better hygiene, they have forced their parents to follow suit. Today after two years the area bears a clean look.
