Prosthetics centre

Many poor and destitute people need artificial limbs and assistive devices. This centre became operational on 23rd November 2003 and till 30th September 2007, 1018 cases has been registered. 392 Prosthesis cases and 458 Orthosis cases have been provided with artificial limbs/ assistive devices. 29 cases are being progresses.

The nature of work includes:
1. assessment of cases
2. Measurement, fabrication and fitment of various prosthetics and Orthosis devices
3. Providing Gait training.
4. Conducting camps and providing counseling to the handicapped persons.

At present Prosthesis socket which we are fitting is of laminated or aluminium type. We want to make moulded prosthetics socket which is light but durable, more comfortableand cosmetically accepted by the patient. For this we need:

1. Thermostat high temperature oven machine
2. Drap table with Drap frame and Drap frame spacer.
3. Vaccum machine.

3. Above knee kit endoskeleton
